In 1887, the idea of the slot machine was produced by a mechanic named Charles Fey. The first fruit image slot machine was called Operator Bell. That was designed by Mills Company 3 years later. The early slot machines were made of cast iron, a heavy metal which was difficult to replace from casino to casino. In 1915, with the Mills Company's participation was created the first wood cabinet slot machine.
